17 Polish Open won Radoslaw Babica and strengthened his position as a ranking leader in 2011. In March Babica won the first tournament of the series, in Bulgaria. Now he scored a second victory. In the final, defeated Marek Kudlik , 9:4. The undoubted star of the event was 16-year-old Olivia Czurpyńska , which won four matches in the group, and then eliminated in the knockout phase five-times Polish champion Mateusz Śniegocki – 7:5 and Bartosz Bielec 7:6. On the way to a medal stopped her club colleague Karol Skowerski – 1:7. So young girl from Świętokrzyskie took 5th place and became „the best junior” and „the best woman player of the tournament.” She got three prize-rewards. Polish Open winner received a trophy and 1100 €. Third places won by Karol Skowerski and Maciej Wójcik .
In Black Eight club in Katowice played 85 players from 7 countries (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Ukraine, Poland). The strongest of the foreigners were Yevgeny Novosad and Tomas Krovina . Both advanced to the knockout round. Krovina lost in the first round 3:7 with Wojciech Sroczyński (MUKS Bilard Studio Warsaw), and Novosad defeated Sławomir Sawicki 7:5. In the next round Ukrainian lost with the ranking leader Radoslaw Babica 3:7. The main trophies were distributed so for the Poles. In quarter-final matches played as follows:

Surprise can be promoted and winning the match of this round by Maciej Wójcik of Visanti Kielce. Wójcik, made a good impression in the May Polish Junior Championships, but in such a big men event was not considered as the favorite. In group he won all matches, including the match with Hubert Łopotko . In knockout system defeated 7:6 Sebastian Ryłko and Adam Skoneczny 7:4. In a match with Marek Derek, Wójcik used mistakes of the rival and confidently won.
The match between staff Babica and Skoneczny decided at the last party. They both made mistakes, but ultimately proved to be better Babica. Marek Kudlik after the leveled match defeated P. Bryll. Semi-final Babica – Wojcik ran to 5:5 on the same level, then came to the fore Radek and won 9:5. At that time, Marek Kudlik was fighting with Karol Skowerski. Throughout the match Kudlik was leading by one party. At 7:7 Skowerski won the point and it made 8:7. Then, 8:8 equalized Marek by making the party breakdown. In the last scene the billiard player from Nosan did not allow the opponent to the table. Surprisingly, when on the table were three balls behind eight he put a white one. He shot ball number seven of the gang, but to the game proceeded Kudlik and won 9:8. Final ran under the dictation of Babica. He won 9:4.
