Summing up, we should consider year 2009 as a good one. On the other hand the players from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Belarus and Latvia were missing. Probably, financial crisis was the reason of their absence. I also know, that work of billiard federations leaves much to be desired. It is a pity, because Dynamic Best of the East is a very good and not expensive school of billiard.
The biggest stars in the cycle 2009 were: – Vilmos Foldes – medalist of WC, Sandor Tot and Ivica Putnik – European Champions and medalists of EC: Radosław Babica, Tomasz Kapłan, Zoran Svilar, Mariusz Roter, Robert Sudic. However, I’m very glad that a lot of middle class and young players took part in the event. So, promotion of billiard sport is the main purpose of the Best of the East. As you can see, from numbers, this purpose has been achieved.
Main sponsors were: Dynamic Billard Organization from Germany, Iwan Simonis and Saluc from Belgium and International Billiard Promotion from the Netherlands.
The tournament was sanction by the European Pocket Billiard Federation. Mak Marketing from Kielce was an owner and organizer of the cycle.
