The tournament in the Fordan Centre in Pecs was a recent event of 2010 series. 75 players from 10 countries took part in it. The tournament won Mateusz Śniegocki from Poland, who beat in the final Marco Lisnić from Croatia 9:1. Early Śniegocki won with Bartosz Rozwadowski Poland 9:1, Lisnić was better Melkonyan Babken Armenia 9:7. The main favourit, Radoslaw Babica lost in the second round of single elimination stage. The fact was open chance to the victory for Babken. He won with Marco Bakarcić Slovenia 7:6 (but was 2:6) and 7:6 with Michal Turkowski Poland. It was enough to be a winner of the overall ranking.

Hungarian Open had a very good atmosphere. The job of the tournament director and referee was without complication. Thank you for the management of Fordan Centre and the Hungarian Billiard Federation.

Summing up, we should consider 2010 year as a good one. I'm glad, players from Slovakia and Belarus came back to the series.

The biggest stars in the series of 2010 were: Konstantin Stiepanov - European Champion, Sandor Tot - former European Champion and medalists of EC: Radosław Babica, Tomasz Kapłan, Artiom Koshevoy, Mariusz Roter. However, I'm very glad that a lot of middle class and young players took part in the event. So, promotion of billiard sport is the main purpose of the Best of the East. As you can see, from numbers, this purpose has been achieved.

Main sponsors were: Dynamic Billard Organization from Germany, Iwan Simonis and Saluc from Belgium and International Billiard Promotion from the Netherlands.

The tournament was sanction by the European Pocket Billiard Federation. Mak Marketing from Kielce Poland was an owner and organizer of the series.
