2022 Dynamic Billard Best of the East – Season Summary.
Five tournaments were played as part of the 2022 Dynamic Best series. Players competed in: Bratislava, Oradea, Kielce, Petrich and Tirana. The worst threat related to COVID-19 was over, but the situation in individual European countries was still closely watched. The Russian-Ukrainian conflict also had a very serious impact on the functioning of our organisation, which operates mainly in Eastern Europe. However, the results of this season are much better compared to 2021. A year ago we welcomed 201 participants from 15 countries. In 2022, 275 players from 16 countries participated in the tournaments. The largest number of players (108) attended the tournament in Kielce, Poland, which was the 100th event in the Best of the East series.
For the first time, the series was won by an 18-year-old billiards player. Szymon Kural ended the season with a significant lead by winning the 9-Ball tournaments in Romania and Albania, ending up second in Bulgaria, third in Poland and fifth in Slovakia. He won a cash prize of €3,200 and two Cuetec Carbon cues worth around €1,400.
Junior player Dominik Jastrząb is second in the ranking. The 17-year-old billiards player from Poland surprised us ending up second in Kielce and 5th in Bratislava and Tirana. The third place on the podium is held by Petr Urban from the Czech Republic. His best achievement was 2nd place in Tirana.
