Czechia 9-ball – success for the Slovak. Kristián Mrva wins the second Dynamic Billard Best of the East tournament!
The Dynamic Billard Best of the East, which took place in Prague, is behind us. The event held at the Lucky Ball Club attracted 82 pool billiards enthusiasts who came from: Romania, Poland, Georgia, North Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine. Kristián Mrva proved to be the best in the Czech capital.
The nearly 21-year-old Slovak did not have an easy time, because already in the group he competed with, among others, the medalist of the Junior World Championships, Jakub Chrobot. Despite this, Mrva was unrivaled, won all three matches and thus reported to the next phase of the competition.
Competing in the play-off for the medal zone, he beat the legend of Slovak pool, Jaroslav Polach, as well as Michal Gavenciak (CZE) other rivals. Finally, in the semi-finals, he faced the Fortis Kielce pool player, Mariusz Skoneczny, and won the competition 7:5.
In the gold medal match, Mrva defeated Dominik Jastrząb and won gold during the second tournament of this year’s Dynamic Billard Best of the East series. Skoneczny and Jaroslav Tichy finished the event with a bronze medal.
For his victory, the Slovak received 1,200 euros, a cup with a medal, and a professional Cuetec cue worth over 500 euros. His opponent from the finals took home 800 euros and a Cuetec case worth 400 euros. The next tournament in the Dynamic Billard Best of the East series will take place in Georgia at the beginning of June. The list of players for the AJARA CUP 9-Ball is being registered.
At the same time, a tournament was held in Prague as part of the EEBC Pyramid Tour. The competition was won by Mykhailo Kusen, who defeated Rostyslav Bovonenke in the final, while the last places on the podium were taken by Volodymyr Kuzmenko and Bohdan Shmyrko.
