Wojciech Szewczyk (POL) former 10-Ball world champion, EEBC champion 2023 won the Dynamic Billiard Best of the East event in Kielce. In the final, Wojciech quickly defeated Hubert Łopotko (POL) 7:1. Earlier, Szewczyk won 7:2 against Kacper Konkel, and Łopotko 7:3 against David Zalman (CZE).
88 players from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Ukraine took part in it. The group of eight best players also included: Ciprian Gindać (ROM), Petr Urban (CZE), Michał Turkowski (POL) and Mieszko Fortuński (POL). Analyzing this lineup, Konkel’s third place may be a surprise. He doesn’t have any major international successes. David Zalman is having a good season, winning the bronze medal at the European 9-ball Championships in July in Slovenia and now he has also won the bronze medal.
After two tournaments, Hubert Łopotko (POL) is leading in the 2024 ranking -155 points. Further places are taken by: Mariusz Skoneczny (POL) -150 points, Nikita Rudenko (UKR) – 125 points, Ciprian Gindać (ROM) -120 points, Adam Stankiewicz (POL) -110 points and Koles Balas (SK) -110 points.
