Michał won cup, money and wild card to Qatar 10-Ball.
Michal Gavenčiak (CZ) won the last tournament of the Dynamic Billard Best of the East series this year. In the Pardubice final, he defeated Hubert Łopotko (PL) 7:4. Bronze medals were awarded to: Balas Koleś (SK) and Wojciech Głąb (PL).
60 players from Poland, Albania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and North Macedonia came to Pardubice.
On the first day, the games were conducted in 15 groups and the best 30 advanced to the final stage. Among them were 11 Poles and Czechs, 3 Slovaks, 2 Ukrainians and one player from North Macedonia and Albania. On the way to the quarter-finals, the biggest surprise was the victory of 13-year-old Slovak T. Furko against the defending champion Petr Urban 7:4.
In the quarterfinals:
- Łopotko (PL) – P. Vondracek (CZ) 7:5
- Furko (SK) – W. Głąb (PL) 4:7
- Zalman (CZ) – K. Balas (SK) 3:7
- Gavenciak (CZ) – M. Skoneczny (PL) 7:1
In this ranking, Gavenciak’s high win and Balas’s relatively easy victory may be surprising. The match between Furko-Głąb juniors was decided in his favor by the Pole.
There were no close matches in the semi-finals.
- Łopotko – W. Głąb 7:1
- Balas – M. Gavenciak 2:7
- Gavenciak was leading in the final from the beginning. Łopotko had a chance to break his opponent several times, but he made mistakes in important moments. Ultimately, Gavenciak won 7:4.
The winner received a beautiful crystal cup, a financial prize and a wild card to the World Cup competition in Doha in December.
Congratulations to the best athletes. Big thanks to the hosts (Maple Klub) and sponsors: Dynamic Billiard, Iwan Simonis, Aramith, Kamui and Cuetec.
